0135 Ms. J. Jorgensen, Embassy Nairobi, called the
Watch to relay a radio message from Ambassador
D. Rawson, Embassy Kigali, to call him at the
COMR in Kigali.
0140 Further to previous item, the Watch attempted
repeatedly without success to call Ambassador
Rawson. | .
0230 The Watch called Ambassador Rawson and
received an update on the situation in
Rwanda. At Ambassador Rawson’s request, INR
participated in the call.
0235 Further to previous item, the Watch briefed
Mr. B. Gates, WHSR; LTCOL Nossov, NMCC; and
Mr. R. Roth, NMJCC,
0424 Ambassador Rawson called the Watch to provide
a further update on the situation in Kigali.
He asked the Watch to pass a message to Ms. D.
Russler, at the UN Security Office in New
York, regarding security of the UNDP office in
Kigali. .

The Watch patched Mr. J. Collins, S/NIS, to
DCM R. Miles, Embassy Moscow.
The Watch patched the Secretary to Mr. D.
Ross, Special Middle East Coordinator.
The Watch briefed Mr. I. Riza, UN Assistant
Secretary General for Peacekeeping, on the
Situation in Rwanda.
Relinguished the Watch. Dictaphone cleared.
